Talent Selection Update
I'd like to thank the hundreds of applicants and the 125 regional showcasers for doing what we asked you to do in order to be considered for the upcoming 32nd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition.
I'd like to apologize for the delays in getting more information to each of you. As I write this on October 13th, we've only extended invitations to barely over half of the expected roster. This is not what I expected and not what I promised. What is causing the delay is simply that I'm not receiving the necessary authorization from the Executive Producer to invite any more applicants to the roster than I have so far. Eventually, that authorization will come and hopefully those invited will still be interested and available to participate.
Meanwhile, because I don't know who is going to be invited, I also don't know who ISN'T going to be invited--so, the unfortunate truth is that I don't have much of an update to offer any of you.
As soon as I know more, I promise that you will all know more...and I expect that, despite the delays, we will have an excellent roster for the 32nd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition.
