September 1st has come and gone...

The deadline to apply for the 32nd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition of September 1st has passed.  However, because the official www.seattlecomedycompetition.com website never got updated during the official application period to include any application instructions, the decision was made to extend the deadline for receiving applications for this year.

If you're still interested in applying for this year's competition, please contact me immediately:  pgreyy@gmail.com  That way, I know to keep you in mind as we begin the long discussions that lead to our choosing the 32 comedians who will compete in this year's event.  You will still need to apply--and the sooner the better, as decisions will start being made now...so, your chances grow slimmer the longer you wait--but informing me of your intention to apply at least allows us to keep you in the discussions while we wait to receive your application information and video.

The instructions remain the same as in the post below (except for the whole "get your application to us by September 1st" part.)

UPDATE:  We would like to have all applications submitted to us by September 26th--the Monday following the last Regional Talent Showcase that we are holding to evaluate local talent for consideration towards this year's event.

UPDATE #2:   The secondary deadline of September 26th has come and gone as well--and the official website for the Seattle International Comedy Competition (www.seattlecomedycompetition.com) has only recently been updated.  Obviously, as we get closer to the start of the competition in November, there are fewer and fewer openings in the competition roster--and at some point in time the roster will be full.  However, until that time...if you want to send us your application, we will still consider it...to whatever degree we can, based on the availability of space and the number of quality applicants we've been considering for those open spots already.  Never say never, but a late entry would have to be pretty mindblowing to push past the applicants we've already received and are trying to decide upon.
